APLA Continues to Support CODE Through Adopt a Library

For the sixth year, the Atlantic Provinces Library Association (APLA) Grow a Library Committee will be sponsoring a CODE library through the Adopt a Library program. The library they have selected to support this year is the Wondo Genet Reading Room in Ethiopia.

The Committee has been active and raising money for CODE libraries since 2006. Currently, eight members of the standing committee actively fundraise through their list serve, on their website, as well as through raffles, challenges, and by selling stickers and magnets with the Grow a Library symbol during APLA’s Annual Conference. Grow a Library has become a regular activity of APLA, and members are challenged each year to come up with new and better fundraising ideas.

For more information on APLA and Grow a Library please visit their website.

Visit the Adopt a Library section of our website to see how you can support your own library in a developing country where CODE works.
