You Could Win a Year-Long Audible Subscription

Join CODE in celebrating International Literacy Day (September 8th) by participating in our social media contest and giveaway! Spearheaded by Miss Ontario World 2022, Rachel Murgel, to raise awareness for children’s literacy, Instagram users are invited to create a video letting us know about an opportunity they have in their life because of their literacy or how the ability to read has helped them succeed. In doing so, they are entered to win a year-long Audible subscription, valued at approximately $200!

Children across sub-Saharan Africa are facing a major learning crisis and 88% of them won’t learn how to read properly unless something changes. When children can read and write, they can learn to do and be anything! That’s the simple, yet powerful, idea behind CODE. Together, we can unleash the potential of children in some of Africa’s poorest communities – one great teacher and one great book at a time.

How to enter and help spread the word:

  • Follow @code.ngo on Instagram
  • Create a video letting us know what literacy has done for you. This could be opportunities you’ve had, how it impacts your daily life, or anything you can think of!
  • DM the video to @code.ngo on Instagram
  • One-lucky winner will be chosen based on creativity, engagement, and thoughtfulness.

Contest closes October 8th, 2022, at 5pm.

Thanks to the generosity of a private foundation, your donations are not directed to fundraising costs. As a result, we’re able to allocate 94% of donations toward our programs to promote children’s literacy.
