Recently, I had the privilege of visiting several schools in Ntchisi, Malawi, as part of CODE’s Let’s Read Ntchisi project.

Back in December, we told you about our new Let's Read Ntchisi! project in Malawi, and people like you stepped up to help make it happen. Our team recently returned from a site visit to the project schools and wanted to bring you a special update on how that support is already transforming classrooms.

This month, we want to pause and say thank you to all our volunteers, and to shine a spotlight on one in particular: Lynne Dean, who we recently bid farewell to after a two-year tenure on the CODE Foundation Board.

The very first girls from the Girls’ Accelerated Learning Initiative (GALI) are on the verge of graduating from secondary school, and as this unforgettable chapter comes to a close, we want to make sure you know what your support has meant.

When you help train a teacher, and that teacher goes on to train even more teachers, you set off a ripple effect that lasts for years to come. We celebrated this recently in Liberia, where 71 teachers’ college instructors were formally recognized for strengthening teacher training as part of the Teaching and Learning in Fragile Contexts (TLFC) project.
