Since 2012, together with our partner Association pour la lecture, l’education et le developpement (ALED), CODE has been working to benefit 90,000 children and 960 educators through sustained teacher professional development in teaching of reading and reading promotion and the creation of 240 classroom reading corners and five school and community libraries.
Mali en lecture is a comprehensive readership initiative based on two key elements: providing primary students with access to highly engaging and relevant books in a language they understand, and meaningful engagement with these books through high quality teaching.
