Fundraisers wear CODE branded clothing and a badge identifying themselves as a representative of both CODE and Giveroo. Fundraisers may be in your neighbourhood from Monday-Saturday, between the hours of 1-9pm.

Face-to-face fundraising is an opportunity for CODE to reach new supporters, enabling us to continue our work helping children develop their literacy skills and get a great education. It is one of the most affordable and effective ways of recruiting new supporters of CODE.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Direct Debit. We do not accept cash, for the protection of both your gift and our fundraisers.

For your convenience, we'll send you one tax receipt next February for all your monthly gifts this year.

We know compensation for canvassers is as important to our supporters as it is to us, because we all want to ensure they are being paid fairly for their work and that no one feels pressured to make a gift. All of our fundraisers are paid a guaranteed daily rate, no matter how many people make a gift. Additional performance-based compensation makes up a small fraction of their overall pay structure and is based on a number of factors, including donor retention. Our face-to-face fundraising partner also follows the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ and Imagine Canada's guidelines in reference to face-to-face best practices.
